Certified physician assistant Ryan Dunning has joined Olympic Medical Physicians’ orthopedic team, Olympic Medical Center representatives announced last week.
Dunning, who recently completing his training at Lock Haven University in Lock Haven, Pa., will see patients at the OMP orthopaedic clinics in Sequim and Port Angeles.
He will provide physician support to the orthopedic surgeons at OMP as well as to the rest of the orthopedic team, OMC representatives said. He treats fractures, dislocations, joint problems and orthopedic emergencies.
“Leading an active lifestyle has taught me to appreciate the capabilities as well as restrictions of the human body,” Dunning said. “Practicing orthopedics grants me a better understanding of these and allows me to share them with my patients.”
Dunning earned an undergraduate degree from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign before a master’s degree of physician assistant studies from Lock Haven University.
As an orthopedic specialist, Dunning said he understands the importance of helping patients participate in the activities they love.
“I enjoy helping patients return to the activities and lifestyle they value,” he said
