Delight in dahlias at the Sequim Botanical Garden Society’s “Work to Learn Party” set for 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Sequim Botanical Garden at the Carrie Blake Community Park Water Reuse Demonstration Park, 500 N. Blake Ave.

John Hassel and Lee Bowen of the club’s dahlia team will demonstrate where to cut blooms on the stem and how to take and keep dahlia seeds.

Attendees are encouraged to bring clippers, work gloves, a hat and clothing appropriate for the weather.

The Sequim Botanical Garden Society is a volunteer partner with the City of Sequim and a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization providing information and a visual demonstration of what can be done in home gardening with research-based horticultural practices.
