Ahoy, maritime image – makers

All area photographers are invited to enter the 2010 Northwest Maritime Center’s juried photography contest and exhibit “On the Water: An Exhibition of Maritime Photography.”

Entry deadline is June 25. Enter images of boats of all types, people on the water, scenics with boats, details of boats – color or black and white.

Entries will be juried by a panel of local professional marine photographers and selected entries will be exhibited in the new NWMC 2nd Meeting Room Gallery alongside the professionals work during the 34th Port Townsend Wooden Boat Festival, Sept. 10-12.

Prizes

Contest prizes are Wooden Boat Chandlery gift certificates of $100 for first prize, $75 for second prize, $50 for third prize, $25 honorable mention and $25 for people’s choice.

Entry rules

Open to all professional and amateur photographers.

Entry fee: $10 for NWMC members and $20 for nonmembers.

All entries will be juried from digital images. The NWMC reserves the right to use all submitted images for contest promotion in the NWMC newsletter and Web site. Copyright remains with the artist.
