Judith Bell’s "The Trainer is In …" program at Best Friend Nutrition raised $200 for Olympic Animal Sanctuary at Forks and its work rehabilitating dogs that have been surrendered and deemed nonadoptable.
Bell’s program provided on-the-spot training for the public seeking advice on dog training issues, requesting
a minimum donation of
$5 for her professional services.
Nearly 40 dogs and their humans were helped.
Steve Markwell, founder and director of Olympic Animal Sanctuary, said, "Judith’s generous work and donation represents a wonderful and unique situation where dogs and humans wind up the winners all around!"
The "Trainer is In …" program continues from 10 a.m.-noon Wednesdays July 14 and Aug. 25 at Best Friend Nutrition, 680 W. Washington St., Sequim. Donations will be made to the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society.
