Car hits building in Carlsborg

A 77-year-old woman was not hurt after driving her car into a physical therapy office on Carlsborg Road.

Clallam County Fire District 3 responded to the report of a car hitting a building just after noon today. Public Information Officer Patrick Young said the building sustained some structural damage and would need to be inspected by county building officials.

Loraine Lovejoy-Evans, who owns the business at 865 Carlsborg Road, said the driver was a patient of hers and evidently hit the gas pedal instead of the brake pedal.

Lovejoy-Evans said the car broke through the wall of the building.

This is the second time this fall a car has hit a building. On Nov. 2 an 80-year-old woman drove her Subaru Outback through the lobby of the Sequim Post Office. She also was uninjured.
