Curtis named AAUW’s top student for March

Kali Curtis, a Sequim High School senior, is Student of the Month for March as picked by the Clallam branch of the American Association of University Women.
Curtis was honored along with the associations’ other top students – Sunma Agostine, Olivia Boots, Laura Moser, Teyloure Ring, Amanda Tjemsland and Blaire Maloney – at the association’s annual reception on March 14. Her current classes are college English, percussion ensemble, advanced placement physics, Spanish IV, government, racquet sports.
Her school activities are Associated Student Body senator (freshman year), ASB secretary (sophomore year), ASB publicity chairwoman (senior year), National Honor Society, Interact Club, Link Crew, International Club, Sequim High School band.
Her community activities/organizations are student ambassador to Japan (freshman year), Honor Society community service, freelance photography and jewelry-making sales, summer work at Lost Mountain Lavender Farm.
Her future plans are to attend a four-year college, most likely the University of Washington.
Her parents are Kemp and Cheri Curtis.
