Defendant pleads guilty in blackout break-in

Three Sequim teens involved in the Nov. 29, 2010, burglary of a tattoo parlor on Washington Street have reached resolutions with Clallam County courts.

Jordan Hartman, 19, pleaded guilty to the amended charge of misdemeanor criminal trespass on April 20 and was sentenced to 90 days in jail with 89 days suspended and credit for the day he served when first arrested on Nov. 30, 2010.

Tyler Townsend, 19, served 10 days in jail after pleading guilty to second-degree burglary in March.

A 17-year-old boy police say also was involved in the burglary entered a drug court resolution with Clallam County Juvenile Court in February.

All three originally faced burglary charges in connection with a late-night break-in at the Tattoo Guy shop on East Washington Street during a power outage. Sequim police said Townsend and Hartman, along with the juvenile co-defendant, broke a window at the tattoo shop during the power outage and entered the building to steal a $2,800 paint ball gun, causing extensive damage to the building’s interior.

The teens must pay restitution to the business owner, according to court documents.
