The Clallam County Prosecutor’s Office issued an arrest warrant for a man recently living in Sequim after sheriff’s deputies say his landlady found 60 pounds of marijuana in his bedroom.
Colin M. McCurdy, 26, who also goes by Miles Twitter and Augustus M. McValley, is alleged to have possessed the marijuana and several firearms while renting a room from a Sequim woman on the 3000 block of River Road.
On March 29, the woman reported she found marijuana in the room she rents to McCurdy, deputies said. She turned over about 107 grams of marijuana, then called again later when she found six garbage bags of marijuana in the room, deputies said.
A search warrant was granted and deputies found paperwork belonging to McCurdy, 20-gauge shotgun shells, two rifles and other firearm accessories and ammunition, deputies said.
McCurdy is a convicted felon out of Oregon and as such is prohibited from possessing firearms, according to a probable cause statement by the Clallam County Sheriff’s Department.
The Clallam County Prosecutor’s Office filed charges April 13 of possession of more than 40 grams of marijuana, a Class C felony, and two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, a Class B felony.
