Nelson’s Duckpond and Lavender Farm raised $1,000 during the Lavender Festival to benefit the local chapter of the Korean Women’s Association. With the help of Camille Irwin of the Sequim chapter and LaDonna Sperber of the Port Townsend chapter of KWA, funds were raised by selling Sequim Lavender Growers Association shirts, pins, posters and glasses. Jeff and Amy Lundstrom made and sold shirts for the project and their daughter Tilly donated proceeds from her lavender lemonade stand. The nonprofit KWA provides in-home care and other services to the community.
