The male was armed with a rifle and demanded the clerk provide him with all the money from the cash register. The clerk complied with the demands and the suspect then fled eastbound from the store as officers were dispatched.   Officers engaged in an extended search of the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

This arrest warrant was entered into the Washington Crime Information Center and the National Criminal Information Center.   On August 9th the Port Angeles Police Department was advised that Nicholas Jay Sullivan was in custody on other charges and being held by the Chehalis Tribe Law Enforcement.   A detainer was placed on Sullivan by the Port Angeles Police Department.   Sullivan remains in custody and the Clallam County Prosecutor will determine when Sullivan will be returned to Port Angeles to face charges.
