Head-on collision halts Highway 101 traffic

One airlifted after morning accident

One patient was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center after a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 101 near Guiles Road this morning.

Dispatchers reported multiple cars were involved in the crash that occurred just after 11:30 a.m.

The highway was temporarily blocked and emergency responders called for all available units to report to the scene.

Two other people involved were not seriously injured, according to initial dispatch reports.

No further information was immediately available.
