Magic won’t bring back Sequim Library’s summer reading program until next year.
The program brought magician Jeff Evans from Olympia to perform on Wednesday, Aug. 19, as the final show of the season. Evans performed card tricks, illusions and jokes.
Friends of the Library sponsored the summer’s programs.
Patti Swingle, children’s service coordinator, said she felt good about the summer’s events.
She said lots of reading followed presentations at the library because more books were checked out. The library’s next children’s program, the weekly story time, begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, for toddlers, and 11 a.m. for preschoolers at 630 N. Sequim Ave.
