New Royalty Reigns

Princess Ashley Fuentes, representing the 2010 Irrigation Festival royalty, crowns a beaming Taylor Willis as queen of the 2011 festival. Willis also was the winner of the Tracie Sofie Memorial Award for congeniality.

The pageant is a scholarship event to select royalty who will best represent Sequim. Royalty accompanies the Sequim float to participate in 13 different parades throughout the state. The royalty volunteer their time to work with the festival committee and promote community involvement.

The pageant was sponsored by Kitsap Bank.

The next Irrigation Festival Event is the Kick-Off Dinner on March 26 at 7 Cedars Casino. The dinner is a major fundraising event as well as the first introduction of the 2011 royalty, pioneers and grand marshal.
