No injuries in Highway 101 rollover

Fire District 2 (Port Angeles) firefighters respond to a single truck rollover on US Highway 101 near milepost 241 at about 5 p.m. yesterday, Sept. 7. The driver of the truck swerved to miss a deer on the roadway and in the process slid into a ditch where the truck rolled twice, according to a District 2 report.
The driver was uninjured but was extricated from the vehicle using the Jaws of Life tools. Responders on the scene included Olympic Ambulance, Washington State Patrol, Clallam County Sheriff’s Office and Elwha Police personnel.
