Phone credit card scam returns

The Port Angeles Police Department has received information that the scam phone calls regarding “your Strait View Credit Union card being temporarily interrupted” and asking you to enter your card information has again hit in our area and is on the increase.   Do not give out any of your information in response to these type of calls.

We also ask that you please not call your local law-enforcement or bank regarding these calls unless you have given your information out and or suffered a loss.  The Port Angeles Police Department does not have an active investigation regarding this scam and the FBI has been advised.

The scam is wide spread and also involves other banking agencies across the nation.
