Prepping for the ‘Film Fest’

About 30 middle school and high school students attended the Sequim Education Foundation Film Festival Workshop at the high school library on Feb. 5.
Community members Bill Chisham, David Estrem and Rick Dietzman covered topics such as plot development, lighting, sound quality and editing.
Working in small groups, students made on-site short films using flip video cameras and multimedia teacher Charles Kleinberg demonstrated film-editing techniques in his lab classroom.
Students interested in entering the sixth annual Student Film Festival Competition can find details and entry forms at the Sequim Education Foundation website at www.sequimed.org.
Videos are due by April 4; a spaghetti dinner and public showing are April 15.
