Pretty darn fishy

Each year the Dungeness River Festival celebrates the diversity of the river and highlights its importance for the Sequim-Dungeness Valley. Among this year’s highlights: a large number of spawning pink salmon are visible from the bridge.
If you’re bringing your kids (and even if you aren’t), bring along a t-shirt, too. The Feiro Marine Life Center folks will help you create your own fish print t-shirts, a cool souvenir of this annual celebration. With a little help from volunteer Jason Grad, this morning Sara Abbott made a fish print she can be proud of.
It all kicked off at 10 a.m. this morning (Friday) at Railroad Bridge Park, 2151 W. Hendrickson Road. It goes on tomorrow, too, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
You can’t beat the price: it’s free.
