ASVAB test set
for Oct. 21
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery test, a career exploration program and aptitude test, is scheduled for 8:15-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, in the Sequim High School library, 601 N. Sequim Ave. The test is free.
Interested students must sign up for the test in the high school counseling office. Registration is limited to the first 60 students. For more information, call 582-3600.
Sequim student gets WSU degree
Tricia Marie E. Duenas-Harris of Sequim earned an academic degree from Washington State University following the summer session.
Duenas-Harris earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in social sciences (general studies), magna cum laude.
Sequim psychologist to teach parenting series
Catharine Foxlee, Sequim school district child psychologist, hosts a free, three-part parenting series at the First Teacher classroom (4W) at Sequim Community School, 220 W. Alder Street.
The classes are scheduled from 11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m. On Friday, Oct. 9, Foxlee hosts "A Child’s Temperament." On Friday, Nov. 13, the class is about "Sibling Rivalry." On Friday, Dec. 4, Foxlee discusses "Brain Development."
Children are welcome.

Exchange students sought
The ASSE International Student Exchange Program is seeking students interested in becoming exchange students to European countries, Canada, Mexico, China, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa.
Exchange students live with a caring host family while attending high school and learning about the language and culture of their chosen host country.
Programs may last for an academic year, semester or summer program.

College bound-themed videos wanted
The Washington Higher Education Coordinating Board is looking for students to produce clever videos that promote attending college. Participants may enter the contest as an individual or with a group. Winning entries receive prizes and recognition.

PA pre-3 registration open
The Port Angeles Peninsula Pre-Three Cooperative is accepting registration for fall classes.
Classes are open to children 10 months to 31/2years of age.
Parents can receive parent education college credits for their participation in the program.

Sequim Pre-Three preschool
enrolling for fall quarter
There are openings available for the fall quarter of the Sequim Pre-Three preschool. The class meets from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Fridays at Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 Blake Ave., Sequim.
Sequim Pre-Three is a nonprofit organization sponsored by Peninsula College for parents and guardians with children ages 10 months to 31/2 years. Parents come weekly with their children for a wide variety of activities including music, art, social interaction, dramatic and outdoor play. Parents take turns working in the classroom with the children’s teacher and participating in a discussion led by an experienced parent educator while earning college credit.
