Sheriff investigates arson at State Patrol scale house

North Olympic Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information leading toward the arrest of the person or persons who set fire to the Washington State Patrol scale house at milepost 255 on U.S. Highway 101.
The Clallam County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the arson that occurred at 1:53 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2.
Unknown person(s) used an accelerant to set fire to the steel door area of the building. The fire was discovered and put out by a passing U.S. Border Patrol Agent.
Perpetrator(s) face possible felony charges.
