Theater awards $500 scholarship

Olympic Theatre Arts’ chairman John Yeo presented the theater’s annual student scholarship to Sequim High School sophomore Trey Baldwin on April 29.

Baldwin will be attending Missoula Children’s Theatre, a traveling troupe based in Montana, from June 22-Aug 7.

"I’m looking forward to performing this summer a lot," Baldwin said.

He will train full time with writers, actors, dancers and other entertainment professionals.

Baldwin was granted a scholarship of $4,200 from the academy but he needs about $1,500 more to attend.

Baldwin can be reached at 681-6489. He will do yard work, make homemade corn muffins and/or accept donations.
