Garden club meets

The Sequim Prairie Garden Club will kick off the new garden club year with a meeting at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 9 in the clubhouse at Pioneer Memorial Park, 387 E. Washington St. The speaker will be Leilani Wood with a program on “Autumn Gardening.” She will talk about what’s going on in gardens now, things that need to be done and plans to be made for the next gardening year. Wood is a longtime Sequim gardening resident with a wonderful way of sharing her knowledge.

The hostesses providing the dessert for this meeting will be Pricilla Hudson, Karen Westley, Charlotte Fraizer and Arlene Sawyer. Bring a sack lunch and items for the food bank. Guests are welcome.
