Camaraderie Cellars announces it will produce the premiere of Rebecca Redshaw’s new play, “Vignettes.” A comedy in five scenes, the play features Ron Graham and Jennifer Johnson as Herb and Stacy, a couple contemplating divorce as Beau, their only son (Daniel Camper) heads off to college. Of course, family and close friends do their “best” to help the couple make the right decision.

Redshaw, playwright and director, said, “There’s a cast of 10 wonderful actors each with their own take on life. Teenage friends, a mother-in-law and her memories, and middle-aged girlfriends all add to the olio of confusion. Stephanie Speicher, Danny Willis, Anna Andersen, Mary-Alice Boulter, Charlotte McElroy, Bunny Cornwall and Sara Young deliver poignant opinions enveloped in comedy shtick.”

Venturing into the world of theatrical producing for the first time, Don and Vicki Corson, owners of Camaraderie Cellars, are no strangers to the arts community, having supported the Port Angeles Symphony for years. A portion of the profits from the Sunday matinee performance will benefit the Port Angeles Community Players.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday-Saturday, Oct. 17-18, and 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at the Port Angeles Community Playhouse, 1235 E. Lauridsen Blvd. Tickets are available at Camaraderie Cellars, Port Book & News and www.BrownPaperTickets.com/ Cost is $15. For more information, call 417-3564.

In addition to “Vignettes,” the audience will be introduced to another Redshaw original one-act play, “Broadway Showtunes Game of Life” featuring the playwright, Charlotte McElroy and Elizabeth Kelly.

Redshaw is an author and playwright. Her novella, “Dear Jennifer” is published and has been adapted and produced as a play. In addition to “Vignettes,” Redshaw has written eight plays and is working on the completion of her third novel.
