‘The Cupcake Conspiracy’ a farce with icing on top

Readers Theatre Plus (RT+) presents its annual scholarship fundraiser “The Cupcake Conspiracy,” a comedy/farce by C.J. Ehrlich and Philip J. Kaplan and directed by Janice Parks at the group’s new location, the Mount Pleasant Grange Hall in Port Angeles, starting this weekend.

Air Traffic Controller Max, played by Merv Wingard, finds himself on a blind date and in a case of mistaken identity involving cupcakes, terrorists, the Empire State Building and the night of his life all while trying to avoid his soon-to-be ex-wife.

Cast members include Jeff Clinton, Pam Fries, Ric Munhall, Damon Little and Judi Wingard.

The play runs 7 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, March 20-21 and March 27-28 and 2 p.m. Sundays, March 22 and March 29, at the Mount Pleasant Grange Hall, 2432 Mount Pleasant Road, Port Angeles.

Tickets are $10 in advance at Sequim Spice and Tea and Purple Haze Lavender in Sequim or Odyssey Books in Port Angeles, or $12 at the door.
