Learn about greenhouses

Veteran Master Gardener Francoise Pearlman will share information on how to select, organize and use a greenhouse to meet the home gardener’s needs at noon Thursday, June 25.

The meeting is in the county commissioners meeting room of the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles, and is apart of the Master Gardeners Green Thumb Garden Tips Brown Bag series.

She will discuss the challenges and benefits of greenhouse growing in the local Pacific maritime climate.

Pearlman also will provide tips on making the transition from customary outdoor growing to indoor growing and greenhouse options, components and organization.

The Green Thumb Garden Tips brown bag series is held from noon-1 p.m. on the second and fourth Thursday of every month in Port Angeles.

The presentations are free and open to the public. However, donations to help offset copying costs for handouts are accepted.
