The Clallam County Board of Commissioners announces a vacancy on the Planning Commission due to a resignation. The county is seeking applicants for representation of District 1 for a term ending Dec. 31, 2017.

The Planning Commission assists the Clallam County Board of Commissioners, through the Department of Community Development DCD, with review of land use policy and related issues such as comprehensive land use plans and planning ordinances. Commissioners must have the ability to listen to diverse viewpoints and consider long-term interests of Clallam County.

Meetings are at 6:30 p.m. the first and third Wednesdays of each month in the commissioners boardroom, Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.
