Firefighters, Explorers to collect food, toys

Clallam County Fire District 3 and Explorer Post 1003 are going to be collecting food, toys and donations as they drive around Sequim on a decorated 1939 antique fire engine.

Santa and his helpers will be handing out candy canes as they collect donations. Donations go to the Sequim Food Bank and Sequim Community Aid.

Dates are Tuesday-Friday, Dec. 8-11.

Day and locations are:

• Tuesday, west of Sequim Avenue, Fir Street to Pine Street

• Wednesday, east of Sequim Avenue to North Blake Avenue

• Thursday, Emerald Highlands area and Elk Creek Apartments

• Friday, stores along Washington Street and a make-up day for inclement weather.
