Milestone: McHughs celebrate 40th

Sequim High School sweethearts Rochelle Smith and Paul McHugh were married on Dec. 21, 1975, in Sequim.

The McHughs have lived in Sequim ever since. They worked for 35 years together in real estate marketing owning McHugh REALTORS which they sold in 2006, then fully retiring in 2010. They continue to be active in local community affairs. Both are Rotarians. Paul is a United Way board member and is co-chairing the 2015 Fund Raising Campaign.

The McHughs have two daughters: Kim McHugh, Regional Senior Construction Manager for Providence Health and Services, and Melissa Cate, Systems Administrative Director for Women, Infants, and Pediatrics for Swedish Medical Center.

Paul and Rochelle celebrated their 40th anniversary with their grandchildren, Harrison and Ashleigh Cate, skiing at Schweitzer in Sandpoint, Idaho.
