Port Angeles Symphony sets Feb. 20 for annual fundraiser

The Port Angeles Symphony presents its Applause! Auction “Oh What a Night! as its annual fundraiser at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at the Red Lion Hotel, 221 N. Lincoln St., Port Angeles.
Tickets are $75 per person and must be reserved by contacting the symphony at 457-5579, pasymphony@olypen.com or portangelessymphony.org.
The event is the orchestra’s most important fundraiser of the year as 70 percent of its fundraising budget comes from this event.
The evening starts with wine and hors d’oeuvres while guests bid on silent auction items and enjoy music by an ensemble of musicians. Items offered for silent auction bidding include tickets to a wide variety of events, gift certificates and a unique selection of gourmet wines, foodstuffs and merchandise.
The live auction features dinner and lively bidding on a wide variety of items. A partial list of auction items includes trips to the Caribbean, Mexico, New Orleans, Victoria, Hawaii, Italy and Africa plus services and merchandise.
The winner of the Golden Ticket Raffle is announced during the live auction — it’s not too late to purchase a ticket for a chance at this prize. The prize is your choice of any item offered at the live auction.
The dinner buffet includes a beef, chicken or vegetarian entree accompanied by wine from Camaraderie Cellars of Port Angeles.
