Milestone: Soroptimist group helps Alzheimer’s Association’s cause

Soroptimist International of Port Angeles – Noon club members formed a team to participate in the first North Peninsula Walk to End Alzheimer’s held in Port Angeles. The Sept. 17 walk had 141 participants and 19 teams. Team Soroptimist of Port Angeles raised $2,480.
The local goal is $26,000, of which $20,225.30 has been raised to date.
The Alzheimer’s Association is a global organization, working to advance care, support and research across the world. From face-to-face support to online education programs and promising worldwide research initiatives, the money raised makes a difference in the lives of those facing Alzheimer’s, program officials say.
All funds raised through Walk to End Alzheimer’s further the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association. The Alzheimer’s Association is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. Contributions may be made to Team Soroptimist of Port Angeles at Post Office Box 805, Port Angeles, WA 98362.
