Hit the phone tree and get a softball or baseball game going at the fields at Carrie Blake Community Park. Or for some competition, join the Senior Softball Gray Wolves — a group of players (men 50+, women 45+) from all across the peninsula who gather at the park each Tuesday and Thursday for friendly games. Warm-up is at 8:30 a.m., batting practice at 9 a.m. and games begin at about 9:45-10 a.m. See www.facebook.com/sequim.softball.

Pick your pleasure: Check out the berry-picking possibilities at local farms, including Graysmarsh Farm (www.graysmarsh.com) or Dungeness Meadow Farm (www.dungenessmeadowfarm.com). Or, enjoy local produce by sampling some of the local stands like The Farm (1701 Sequim-Dungeness Way), The Calf-inated Cow Farm (343 McComb Road), Sofie Farms (758 Evans Road) or Nash’s Farm Store (4681 Sequim-Dungeness Way).

The four-mile (round trip) trail is most populated in June as the splashy rhododendron show blooms. No pass is required. See www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/olympic/recarea/?recid=47893.

Get jammin’ with the City of Sequim’s 2018 Music in the Park concert series! It kicks off on June 26 with the blues dance music of the Blue Rhinos. This year’s schedule features everything from rock and big band to Caribbean (see story, B-10). All events are set for 6-8 p.m. See www.sequimwa.gov/index.aspx?NID=512, 360-681-3428.
