Milestone: Gaines to celebrate 50 years of marriage

Trish and Ken Gaine celebrate their 50th anniversary on Nov. 20.

The pair grew up in Seattle. They met as college students while working at Safeway.

The couple wed in 1970 at Holy Family Church in Seattle.

Trish worked as a radiologic technologist at Swedish Hospital and Group Health Hospital until they moved to Sequim in 1981, when Ken became the Safeway store manager.

Ken retired from Safeway in 2000 and Trish retired from Olympic Medical Center in 2013.

They have three children and six grandchildren.

There will be no reception because of the pandemic.
