Snakes, lizards, an alligator and a tortoise took center stage for Olympic Peninsula Academy and Dungeness Virtual School students on Nov. 18 during a special assembly. The Reptile Man — Scott Petersen — of The Reptile Zoo in Monroe introduced students to the various reptiles, shared some facts and allowed for plenty of photo-ops and chances to hold and/or pet the animals.
