The Sequim Lavender Growers Association (SLGA) and the Sequim Lavender Festival selected Sequim High School graduate Tilly Lundstrom for a $1,500 scholarship this year.

Lundstrom is going to Western Washington University in Bellingham where her father Jeff, mother Amy and sister Livie attended.

She has raised thousands of dollars for the community in various capacities from her lemonade stand at her parents’ Nelson’s Duckpond and Lavender Farm.

“Contributing to the SLGA has taught me so much about lavender and introduced me to incredible people,” Lundstrom said. “I’m honored to be the recipient of this scholarship and am thankful for the countless ways it will propel me forward in my future.”

Lundstrom has also taken many advanced placement courses, co-managed the SHS Reading Society, played for the SHS bowling team, and worked on her artwork and writing skills.
