Milestone: Baros named Sequim Elk’s Student of the Month

Olivia Baros accepts her Sequim Elks Student of the month for October honor from Exalted Ruler Klayton Waldron.

Olivia Baros, a sophomore at Sequim High School, is the Sequim Elks Student of the month for October.

The daughter of Florin and Jill Baros, Olivia was born in Sacramento, Calif. Her family moved to Port Angeles four years ago, and then to Sequim one year ago.

Baros maintains a 4.0 grade-point-average and her favorite subject is English. Her classes include; vocal ensemble, American Sign Language II, honors Algebra II, Advanced Placement seminar, University of Washington chemistry and Advanced Placement modern world history.

She plays soccer and is a choir officer.

In her spare time, she spends time with her animals, plays soccer, draws, writes and hangs out with her friends singing and playing instruments.

Her future plans include attending Peninsula College and Washington State University to major in English, playing in the orchestra, sing in the choir and playing on the soccer team.
