Milestone: Coats For Kids Community supports local at Stand Down

Representatives from Coats For Kids & Community were honored to attended the recent Veterans Stand Down, held at the Clallam County Fairgrounds on Oct 3. It was a great turnout, with about 165 veterans in attendance.

Group members handed out community gift cards for shoes, coats and other apparel, toothpaste and brushes, hand sanitizer, popcorn and a few other items.

Because of generous local donations, the group was also able to donate $1,000 to G.A.V.E. (Green Alliance for Veterans Education); the donation goes directly to local county veterans in need.
