The book has closed on another fun-filled Independence Day celebration hosted by the City of Sequim.
Held at Carrie Blake Community Park in mild weather, festivities kicked off at 3 p.m. Friday, July 4 and culminated with the only fireworks show on the North Olympic Peninsula at 10 p.m.
Live entertainment included the Sequim City Band, the 133rd Army National Guard Band, Casey Freedom and Great American Trainwreck.
Bubbles and lawn games were popular with families, and vendors were kept busy serving up a steady stream of food and drinks.
Crowds waxed and waned over the course of the day, with the biggest turnouts around 3 p.m. when the Sequim City Band began to play and when it was time for the fireworks show. This year, the pyrotechnic display was moved a bit further south to protect fledgling eagles.
