DOGE training
The Republican Women of Clallam County will host Glen Morgan for a DOGE training class on Thursday, July 17.
The training will take place at Sequim Elks Lodge #2642, 143 Port Williams Road. Registration starts at 5:30 p.m. and the event starts at 6. The training will finish between 8:30-9 p.m.
Cost is $15 per person.
Morgan, a fifth-generation Washingtonian, hosts a podcast on YouTube and has a website, wethegoverned.com. He has been giving DOGE trainings all over Washington. Find out how he is working to hold politicians accountable in Washington and how you can help.
Alcoholic drinks and sodas can be purchased that night at the Elks club bar. Coffee and tea will be available. Treats will be available for a small donation.
Soroptimist scholarships
Soroptimist International of Sequim offers continuing education scholarships to women who live in Sequim or attended high school in Sequim.
Women qualify if they completed at least one full year of post secondary school or training in an accredited program, need support to reach their goal and are registered in school for 2025-26. Applications are available at sisequim.org and are due by Aug. 15.

Rev. Bruce A. Bode will speak on “Basic Morality & the Basis of Morality” at Olympic Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 1033 N. Barr Road, at 11 a.m. Sunday, July 20.
Bode is minister emeritus at the Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (QUUF) in Port Townsend. He retired as senior minister there in 2018 after serving the congregation for 14 years.
One can attend the service either in-person or via Zoom.
