KSQM radio volunteers are sharing the love — more than 350 pounds’ worth of pet food and other products — with Peninsula Friends of Animals, Welfare for Animals Guild and the Olympic Peninsula Humane Society.
The donation effort comes from KSQM 91.5 FM’s third-annual Pet Lover’s Weekend on Aug. 14 at Costco. KSQM featured 20 booths and estimated they saw 200 animals and their owners at the event.
The community pet groups each receive a pound of pet supplies for every $10 contributed in honor of animals.
Pet Lover’s weekend animal service booths included Greyhound Pets Inc., Puppy Pilots, Olympic Gentle Paws therapy dogs, Olympic Peninsula Humane Society, Spay to Save, Welfare for Animals Guild, Peninsula Friends of Animals, Center Valley Animal Rescue (Quilcene), Precious Life Animal Sanctuary and KSQM 91.5 FM.
Weekend sponsors included Olympic Game Farm, Best Friend Nutrition, Blue Mountain Animal Clinic, BeauJes Dog Training, PETCO, Tiny Bubbles Pets & Supplies, Country Paws Resort & Country Grooming, Goin’ to the Dogs, Sassy Lady Pet Resort, Red Carpet Car Wash & Doggie Dunk, Sequim Lavender Company, Country Care Vet & Acupuncture Service, Cozy Care Pet Boarding, Greywolf Veterinary Hospital, Jewell’s Salon Grooming, Kitten Sittin’, La Paw Spa, Legacy Canine Behavior & Training, Paw Prince, Sequim Animal Hospital and Shell’s Critter Sitter Service.
