Celebrating the lavender harvest this weekend

The Sequim Lavender Farmers Association celebrates the culmination of the 2013 lavender growing season with a lavender distillation and harvest demonstration this Saturday-Sunday, Aug. 31-Sept. 1.

Visit five member farms and see lavender is cleaned and de-budded and learn about the process of distilling lavender into oil.

Bring your Friends of Lavender Membership Card and use your member discounts, or sign up to be a member of Friends of Lavender for savings on lavender products.

These farms are open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. both days: Jardin du Soleil (distillation 10 a.m.), Lost Mountain Lavender, Purple Haze Lavender, Victor’s Lavender Farm and Washington Lavender (distillation 1-3 p.m.).
