The Sequim Lavender Farm Faire holds a volunteer information meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, at the Holiday Inn Express, 1441 E. Washington St.

Updated and detailed plans for the 2011 Sequim Lavender Farm Faire will be revealed, which includes Lavender in the Park at Carrie Blake/Reuse Demonstration Park and the world-famous Sequim Lavender Farm Tour.

Volunteers at the meeting will select the T-shirt color for volunteers, get a preview of the fair shirts, and see new opportunities for volunteering.

Positions include information booths at Carrie Blake Park/Reuse Demonstration Park, Farm Tour bus docents, information/ticket booths at the farms, production, and concert operations. More than 100 people already have signed up to volunteer.

Door prizes and light refreshments will be offered.

The Lavender Farm Tour features the world-famous classic farms that attract thousands of visitors to Sequim each year. Lavender in the Park holds more than 150 booths, including lavender and lavender products, food, crafts, nonprofits, sponsors, agricultural programs, music and more, all in a beautiful park setting with plenty of convenient parking.

The Sequim Lavender Farmers Association is a Washington State nonprofit organization.
