Physician presents “Saving Your Skin”

Claire Haycox, M.D., Ph.D., presents a free WOW! Working on Wellness Forum entitled "Saving Your Skin" at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, in the second-floor conference room at Olympic Medical Park, 840 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim. The focus is summer challenges for skin care and preventing future problems.

"One person, every hour in the United States, dies of melanoma cancer," said Haycox, a clinical associate professor at the University of Washington School of Medicine who founded Valley Dermatology in Sequim in 2002.

The program’s sponsor, Dungeness Valley Health & Wellness Clinic, provides free basic urgent care and chronic health care services to uninsured community members. The Basic Urgent Care Clinic is open to patients on Mondays and Thursdays beginning at 5 p.m. at 777 N. Fifth Ave., Suite 109.
