Indulging in the nearly 1,500 pounds of fish was easy for attendees of the Sequim Noon Rotary’s 43rd Salmon Bake.
Volunteers from both the Noon and Sequim Sunrise Rotary clubs filleted about 120 salmon over an open-pit alder fire on Aug. 7, in Carrie Blake Park, 202 Blake Ave. An estimated 1,000 people attended the event
Ticket holders received beans, coleslaw, a roll, drinks and ice cream. Jeremiah’s BBQ participated for a second year, offering 45 pounds of pulled pork as an alternative.
Sales benefit local charities, high school scholarships and ongoing Rotary projects.
The event hosted vendors, nonprofit group booths and live music.
