Food bank, backpacks get a boost

Sequim Food Bank representative Stephen Rosales accepts a $1,000 check from Sodexo Food Services for the Backpack program from Laurie Campen, food director for the Sequim School District.

Campen successfully applied for a grant from Sodexo to aid Sequim Food Bank’s Backpack program, also supported by area churches.

The Backpack program provides food for students in need to take home on Friday to help feed them through the weekend.
