Dozens will perform ‘Shorts’

Nothing is little about "Small Town Shorts" as presented by Readers Theatre Plus. The production involves works by three Northwest playwrights plus 27 actors and six directors.
Readers Theatre Plus’ largest cooperative presentation, it starts at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 23-24 at The Old Dungeness Schoolhouse, 2781 Towne Road, Sequim, and at 2 p.m. Oct. 25 at the First United Methodist Church, 110 Seventh St., Port Angeles.
Cast members are Cheryl Bell, Johnny Bell, Nita Chandler, Scott Chandler, Jeffrey Cool, Shawn Dawson, Alexandria Edouart, Al Freiss, Mary Griffith, Kristin La
Moure, Mitch LaMoure, Dean Langdon, John Majors, Paul Martin, Michael Moss, Ric Munhall, Carol Novis, Pat Owens, Lonnie Pollard, Roger Presley, Nicholas Pruznick, Daniel Steelquist, Meghan Strait, Berta Warden, Barbara Wilson, Jesse Wilson and Marti Wolfe.
Directors are Beverly Majors, Richard Stevens, Jim Dries, Ric Munhall, Shawn Dawson and Carol Swarbrick Dries. Playwrights from Sequim are Lynnette Baughman, who wrote "Justification," and William E. Chisham, author of "My Bounden Duty," along with Seattleite John W. Stone, who adapted "Two in Torquey" by Alan Bennett.
The other short pieces are scenes from the off-Broadway play "Almost, Maine" by John Cariani.
As with every Readers Theatre Plus production, ticket revenues will be donated to another not-for-profit. This time the beneficiary is SNAP, which serves individuals with developmental disabilities.
