Milestone: Grasser gets Elks honor

Alisha Grasser recently was named Student of the Month by Sequim Elks Lodge No. 2642 at its October Social Night Dinner meeting.

Grasser, a sophomore with a 3.90 grade-point average at Sequim High School, was chosen for her high academic achievements and involvement in school activities. She is studying Honors Chemistry, Spanish, Western Civilizations, literature, Algebra II and advanced physical fitness. In addition she is involved in the girls basketball program.

Grasser’s interests and hobbies include exploring the peninsula by camping, hiking, crabbing and clamming, reading and writing.

Her future plans are to attend a four-year college or university and study radiology.

Grasser is the daughter of Steve and Jana Grasser of Sequim.
