Two octogenarians from Port Townsend perform a four-hand Dvorak virtuoso for the latest Music Live with Lunch on Tuesday, Feb. 16.

Usually performing on dueling pianos at the Turtle Bluff in Port Townsend, Gwendolyn Moore and Barbara Hinchliff play “Slavonic Dances, Opus 46” from Antonin Dvorák on St. Luke’s Episcopal Church’s Steinway piano.

The show begins at noon in the sanctuary followed by a hot lunch and camaraderie in the parish hall.

Hinchliff and Moore came to Port Townsend in the 1980s from backgrounds in real estate and computers and they became active in the local music scene. Hinchliff performed for several years with the Cape George Trio while Moore gave solo concerts.

In 1991, Moore started the Coffee Concerts at Turtle Bluff II on Marrowstone Island and in 1997, she and Hinchliff began performing as a team.

“We have always had a wonderful time playing together and are happy to say that, at 82 and 88, we’re hoping for another 18 years,” they said.

Music Live with Lunch began more than 25 years ago at St. Luke’s as a musical outreach to the community created by Lou and Bill Yandell. It continues each third Tuesday from September-May.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or in advance from 9 a.m.-noon, Monday-Thursday. For more information, call 683-4862.
