OMC commissioners seeking applicants

Olympic Medical Center board of commissioners seeks applicants for a vacancy in OMC commissioner District 2, between Sequim and Peabody Creek in Port Angeles. It includes these voter precincts: Agnew, Bayview, Belleview North, Belleview South, Blue Mountain, Bluffs, Carlsborg, Clark, Coyote, Deer Park, Dungeness West, Fairview, Macleay, Monterra, Mount Angeles, Mount Pleasant, O’Brien and Port Angeles Nos. 1-8 and 16.

The position is open as a result of Commissioner Cindy Witham’s resignation. The appointment will extend until November.

Requirements include attending board meetings at 6 p.m. the first and third Wednesdays of the month and committee work as assigned.

The board governs Olympic Medical Center, which includes Olympic Memorial Hospital, Olympic Medical Physicians, Olympic Medical Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, Olympic Medical Home Health, Olympic Medical Imaging, Olympic Medical Laboratory and Olympic Medical Cancer Center.
