Clallam Economic Development Council offers a free seminar on economic development opportunities for the North Olympic Peninsula.
"Technology and Renewable Energy – Economic Development Strategies For Growing Business on the North Olympic Peninsula" is from 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, in Room 208 at Lincoln Center, 905 W. Ninth St., Port Angeles.
Mitch Horowitz, vice president and managing director of Battelle Technology Partnership Practice, and Stephen Andrade, program manager for Battelle Technology Partnership Practice, present the seminar.
Horowitz has worked as a principal economic consultant, a state development official and an executive in a fast-growing technology firm. He is experienced in research park feasibility analysis and conceptual plan development.
Andrade develops Battelle’s industry outreach and engagement efforts with higher education organizations. He has experience with technology centers, entrepreneurial development and small technology-based firms.
