Cleaning, clearing on M.L. King Day

In the spirit of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Sequim High School’s Environmental Club sponsored a day of service work at an ecological restoration site on Siebert Creek.

Ten students, half of whom stayed all day in the effort, helped clear the wildlife habitat of scotch broom, an invasive shrub that crowds out native plants.

Leaders from the North Olympic Land Trust provided tools and training.
