Parking lot wreck sends woman to hospital

Sequim Police Department reported four cars were involved in a wreck on Monday afternoon.

A woman was transported to Olympic Memorial Hospital with minor injuries after she reportedly drove her Ford Thunderbird through the Walgreen’s parking lot at 12:30 p.m. striking a parked white Honda SUV.

Officer Maris Turner said the woman drove into the parking lot from Fifth Avenue and continued through the lot through bushes and sidewalk onto Washington Street.

Clallam County Fire District 3 reported the woman said her brakes were not responding.  

She drove a full circle, striking a light pole and making another circle before hitting a Dodge sedan and the SUV, which hit a parked Toyota Prius.

Turner said no other injuries were reported.
